What's In Your Coffee?

If you're like us, then you like your coffee warm and delicious. You also, of course, may like it to be fair trade, organic, or shade grown (or all three). And while food products carry nutritional labels, coffees have another set of stickers and labels to let us know how caring or good for the earth and people they are. But, keeping track of certifications can be a whirlwind. Thankfully, GOOD lays out what labels and designations really mean in a recent article. Click here for a full rundown as to what it means when coffee is Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, or even Bird Friendly certified.

Above all, remember that something is better than nothing. So, if you're just now navigating the world of cool coffee, choose beans or grounds that do something good like help the planet (organic) or farmers (fair trade). Over time, you can choose coffee that does it all.
