While we all may think we know this is an important issue, seeing it in this visually interesting and gripping way will hopefully make more of us sign up to become donors or bring it up in conversation with friends and family. By taking a look at the information, you'll be overwhelmed to learn that:
- 114,000 Americans are waiting for a transplant (80% of which are waiting for kidneys)
- The need for organs affects everyone, from newborns to senior citizens
- Some folks wait as long as five years for a transplant
- You'll also see the need for moving to an opt-out system (Go Spain!)
Facebook is doing its part to make organ donation cool, but it'll take all of us making this decision and then encouraging friends to do the same.
