Here's how it works: when you download a DRM-free eBook version of George Washington's Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior In Company and Conversation through our store, we'll do the following:
- Send a hard copy to one of 132 Tennessee lawmakers.
- Include a hand-written letter written by volunteers asking lawmakers for their thoughts on what leaders can do to inspire more civility in public discourse.
- Share their thoughts online with the world.
Last year, Grantham and his friends saw a need and worked to create a conversation starter on civility in American culture. In December, he put out a call for help. Cool People Care answered that call in a big way with a very cool idea.
