Insulate Your Outlet

If you need an easy, quick, and meaningful way to save energy at home, then look no further than your light switches and wall outlets. Many times, these small mainstays can let cool air inside your home (in the winter) and outside your home (in the summer) meaning that your furnace or AC needs to work more. Thankfully, this is a quick fix. Stop by any local hardware store and ask for some insulation made specifically for outlets and switches. They also make special seals for outlets, which are very important for the outlets that are on an exterior wall.

Pick up some insulation or seals and in an afternoon, you can stop expensive air leaks at your home.

Have you tried this?

If you've sealed your outlets or switches, let us know how it went in the comments below. Thanks!
