Last week was Air Quality Awareness Week. And now that it seems like summertime is in full swing, there's no better time to make sure you're air aware. The Air Quality Index measures how clean or polluted your air is and what the health effects could be. On days when the air is unhealthy, we all need to do our part to reduce pollution in all forms (of course, we should do this on days when the air isn't so dangerous, too).
Stay abreast of the air situation near you by finding a local group that sends out alerts via text or email. Then change your routine (by carpooling, working from home, or travelling less) in order to contribute fewer pollutants into the atmosphere.
How do you stay air aware?
Share in the comments below your local group that sends out air alerts. We'd love to compile a handy list for all to use!
