Soak Up Safety

A quick review of water rules keeps everyone safe.
Be safe when near the water.

This weekend marks the beginning of summertime for many of us in the US, and with it comes water sports, water guns, water wings, and water you-name-it. But, when playing in or around the pool, be sure to be safe out there. Same goes for those of you hopping on a boat or jet skis. Water is great and can be great fun, but if not taken seriously, can be very dangerous. The Red Cross has a comprehensive list of water safety tips, so give those a read before you begin your vacation. And make sure to wear sunscreen.

In addition to the tips above, if you live on the west coast -- you should also check out a resource called the Beach Report Card - it gives water quality grades based on bacteria levels for beaches in CA, OR and WA.
