5 MINUTES OF CARING
WEDNESDAY, MAY 27, 2009 Zippity Zap!Use your microwave and save the planet.
Now that Memorial Day is in the rear view mirror, we're headed full speed towards summer, which means that your AC will be working overtime to keep things cool. One way that you can keep your cooling bill low is to turn the oven off. Not only can it slightly raise the temp in the kitchen, but it can also be a drain on your energy bill. So, if you can, toss what you're cooking in the microwave. This won't work for everything you eat, but four minutes in there generates much less heat than 30 in the oven. |
