Jarred Loose

Jarred Loose

Get all you can out of your bottles and jars.

Before you give your glass jars and bottles a good rinse before they're recycled, get creative and see how much you can get out of them. Those rinses that we give our tomato sauce and juice containers often means that perfectly clean water is used for a menial rinse job. Extend the life of both the container and its contents by mixing up some cocktails of your own. In fact, Cool Mom Michelle has a few good ideas to share today. Feel free to add to the list in the comments below. Get everything out before sending it on.

After it has cooled, I add water to my leftover coffee and use it and the one more additional rinse water for my plants. I think they enjoy their java fix as well.....

I use peanut butter or pasta sauce jars to store leftovers in the fridge. Also, I take 2 jars with me to restaurants in case I have leftovers, so I don't have to trash a styrofoam box later.
