Get the Lint Out

What can you give up with lint?

One of the biggest energy hogs in your entire house is the clothes dryer. Therefore, every little thing you can do to increase your efficiency will save you money and save the environment. One of the simplest acts is to clean your lint filter. Make sure you're getting rid of all that build up in between loads, and clean the filter itself with soap and water. By getting the lint out, you'll improve the dryer's efficiency and extend the life of the appliance.

With your savings, you can buy a book that is full of tips just like these!

An even better energy saver: buy a clothes drying rack and let your clothes air dry. It saves electricity, avoids shrinking, and your clothes wear out less quickly!

Hear, hear to Elizabeth's comment - ESPECIALLY if you live in a sunny, warm climate! It'll only take a couple hours for all your wash to dry!
