Merry Christmas! (for those celebrating)
Now, please stop reading this.
Seriously. Stop. Click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and turn off your computer.
Then, turn to someone in your house and tell them a story.
Laugh with them.
Take a picture together.
Eat something awesome.
Ask them to tell you their favorite Christmas memory of a Yule gone by.
Play like you're a kid (again).
Disconnect - just for today.
Celebrate a savior or a Santa or even a sale. Just celebrate and be thankful. Tune out the digital data and social networking nuisances and enjoy the presence of people who love you.
We'll be back here tomorrow, as will your Twitter account, something dumb or spectacular on YouTube, and a whole lot of email. But for now - on Christmas - experience the joyful and messy wonder that is community, family, and belonging.
